How lovely! My mom is a huge pelican fan, and now that my dad has passed away, when we go to the shore, she points them out as they fly by and says, "Dad sent them for me."
I took this photo perhaps 18 months ago, during a two-day trip to La Jolla. I can still feel the crisp chill of the ocean spray. I need the bracing of the memory today.
