Joining Twitter

Wednesday, May 16, 2012

On this day of enforced rest (doctor's orders following an unpretty breakdown of all still-working parts), I am spending idle time doing fun things like finishing Mary Karr's The Liar's Club and, yes, joining Twitter.

Come be part of my Tweet world.  Help me understand howit works.  Make me smarter when people say "hashtag." I need to be smarter when people say "hashtag."  And also "trending."

Here I am (I think this is right).  I have a grand total of three tweets and a handful of very fine friends.  Leave it to Melissa Sarno to find me first!

So I see you have finally burned that candle to a nub. Kind of felt it coming and have been concerned, my friend. (I live in a private world of forced rest much of the time, never knowing when. . .) Take care and mind the doctor!!! (Oh, I know you aren't cut out for resting, but try, pretty-please-with-sugar-on-it.)

Heading off to Twitter to find you. (I copy other's hashtags, such as #amwriting #amediting.....but love to make up my own. And would be no help to you, as I do nothing "automatic" on there.) You will do fine, and will surely build a wonderful following - quick as a wink.

Love the photo, by the way!!! You are looking deceptively good.

Hoping for sweet R&R!!

Love and prayers coming your way!!

I just started following you. Apparently all my advice about resting and taking naps has fallen on deaf ears! Shame! I'm glad that you will be resting, reading, and tweeting. I'll be following as SavvyVerseWit

If I were judging your book by its cover, I'd say you're at least Pulitzer-bound. Love the do.

You're probably doing Twitter in the right order -- I joined the 'verse years ago and never use it. I even have followers? Go figure.

Oy, Beth, figuring out twitter is NOT a day of rest. Reading a book is fine but go offline. If you won't listen to me, listen to your doctor. I just recovered form a bad cold by reading The Scorpio Races, which you'd like too. I hope you feel better soon.
