In yesterday's mail: Galleys for my dear friend Jayne Anne Phillips' much-anticipated new novel, Lark & Termite. Proof pages for my own Nothing but Ghosts.
On yesterday's phone: utterly endearing text messages from my kid.
In yesterday's sky: an infinity of blue.
Today we honor losses by living forward. By loving out loud. By moving past disappointment, by yielding to the vibrant, by ushering in compassion, by recognizing need.

I love how you've phrased that. Honoring the losses by living forward. This is terrific.
I'm looking forward to when my kids text me. I think.
"Honoring the losses by living forward." This is so beautifully said Beth. Enjoy your day...look to the good that comes your way, enjoy the goodness in a moment of peace that comes your way, love the stillness of the peace and breathe with joy.y
Oh, PJ.

Cousin Libby, how is your foot!!!!!!
How wonderful to hear the hope on this day of honor and remembrance. All best.
