I write the elements, I said. Earth. Air. Fire. Water. I imagine myself gone, within them. The river as a woman. The fire as a man. The earth cracked open, so many mouths through which to speak.
And air?
And air is wind. And air is weather. A character—changeable, present.

most excellent xx
And that's exactly why I love your writing. :)
I love the light in that picture.
Ever since I started studying the nature of elementals for my doll-making, things like this post have cropped up to give me more thought and inspiration. I love air. I think of either a manifestation of birds (i.e. Papageno) or wind-instruments.
We rejoice in the primal.
This comes out so purely in your writing, Beth.
It's magical.

Very poetic. I love it, and the photo. :)
