Web Weaving

For three and a half days she stayed precisely where she was—either trapped by her own snare, or guarding it.

Which is it with us?

Such a wonderful picture. I have a spider who has woven a huge web right outside the window over my kitchen sink. I am in awe of the resilience and beauty of the structure!

Spiders are extremely patient, waiting motionless on its web until just the right time to pounce on its prey.

I'd like to think that the spider is "guarding" its web - it's opportunity - and is patiently waiting to make its next move.

Like the spider we should learn patience in all that we do so that we are able to discern more intuitively when it's time to snatch up all of life's opportunities.

What say you?

She's resting before going on...just we all need to do on occasion. But she's got grand designs on what her web should look like.

I like to think that she is studying her creation and pondering her next intricate move. It's good to sit back with your creativity and gradually begin anew again. Great photo!

You know, I hate spiders (can you tell I'm scared of pretty much everything?) but this one is actually intriguing. As to whether she's trapped or not, I think she's thinking.

You pose a good question.

I have a ton of spiders around, but such deep thoughts for the morning, Beth! :)

Beautiful photo, even if it is a spider =) I think she's patiently waiting, hoping to ensnare an agent/editor/reader in her web.

A little bit of both?
