Searching for Focus

Wednesday, January 6, 2010

How many times, I begin to wonder, will I have to study a particular passage in this novel I am finalizing before it comes into focus? I'll get the rhythm right and lose the meaning. I'll work toward explicit and fudge the melody. I'll falsify the tone, and I hate falsifying tone. I'll stop and start again.

You and I are on the same page at the moment dear friend. I have all the pieces of the puzzle and somehow I'm missing the key element to lock the last few pages into a delicious ending. I'm waiting for the book to tell me what it needs. Did I also mention patience is NOT a virtue in my world. A bit tortuous for a writer. (Hugs)Indigo

It's frustrating sometimes isn't it? And then it happens.
