Melissa Walker: Vlogger
Thursday, July 24, 2008
We have the capacity to change the shape of one another's days—to botox a worry-saturated brow with kindness, to erase the hard clang of something wrong with the light sweep of something right.
Melissa Walker—creator of the Violet series, much-loved blogger, source of common sense and good cheer—just did that for me. Took a day that wasn't going oh so well and flipped it on its head.
Just hearing from her can do that for me, but today she did something more: She YouTubed her thoughts about HOUSE OF DANCE and posted them on Lip Gloss Lit as a guest vlogger. She did it with a photo of herself and her grandfather in hand. She did it with the right music on.

I've seen lots of Melissa photos, but I never knew she was this cute.
So many thanks, Melissa.

Beth, your deserve every word and more. Your talent is fantastic. Can't wait until we can share a coffee... or a martini.
That does make for a fabulous day. But from what I've seen (well...more what I've read) the recommendation was well deserved!
Just wanted to let you know that I posted some thoughts about Undercover, and Elisa as a literary heir of Anne of Green Gables, at my blog today...
Undercover was a book I received from the publisher when I was a panelist for the YA Cybils awards...it is one of the few that I kept for my own collection (the rest went to the library).
