The Bewitching Hour (in winter)

(And may I just say thank you to those of you who stop by this blog and speak to me about the photographs. You give me a reason to take my Sony out into the world. I know, Kristen, very little about photography. I have an intuitive sense for framing and focus, for the way light moves through a day. I would fail any test about F stops. Thanks, all, for giving these photos purpose.)

I took a photography class in college. We shot with Roleiflex cameras. I learned it all, including how to develop film. Then I promptly forgot it.
Now, I play with the autofocus on my digital Canon and read the cliff notes on how to manage the manual settings. I love photography as much as I love words. When you are lucky enough to get it exactly right, you have a story. And that's what I love.
Thanks for sharing yours.
Are you kidding? Thank YOU for sharing them. :)
Yours is the first blog I check in the morning & it sets me up nicely for the day.
I love your daily photo (now the pressure's on!). I like the way to see.
Amazing, amazing, amazing photography. It's beautiful, and I still envy the snow.
