My dad has been a Phillies fan since my parents lived in Philly in the early 1950's. He'll be 91 on November 4 and he's bedridden now. He's not always coherent and his days are long. He always knows when his Phillies will be on, though, and on the days that they are, he'll ask about the time all day long. I was down there recently and watched several games with him and rooted for the Phillies right along with him. Oh, how I hope they'll win the playoffs, so my dad will have more to look forward to.
